Friday At The Movies

Okay, so as you might know, I went to an advance screening of Charlie St. Cloud this tuesday. Now, I'm no film critic (though, I think that job is quite awesome), but I do love movies.

That being said, I will say that I loved this movie. Yes, I am serious.

I'd like to say though, that I am a Zac fan. (For a while actually, and wayyy before High School Musical.) I really think he can act, as opposed to other male celebrities out there who have quite the psychotic fan base. But that's another story.

Anyway, I'm not a film snob (at ALL!) but I don't enjoy movies such as Dear John (hated it) or The Notebook (It put me to sleep, not even gonna lie...), but this one seemed good. Especially from what I heard about the book.

Don't get me wrong though, I love tear jerkers and chick flicks, just... not the two mentioned above. For those that read the book, you might be happy to know that I heard it's pretty similar. (I can't actually tell you for sure though, because I haven't read it.)

The movie definitely surprised everyone, including me. (Take note that this is coming from me--practically a psychic who predicts everything! Ok, not really, but it happens a lot.)
So it's not that predictable. And if all you're expecting is a cheesy drama about a tragedy, just know that there is drama and there is tragedy. But it's more than that.

I don't really wanna go into detail, because I don't wanna give anything away, but what I will say is if you're planning on going to a theater this weekend, I definitely recommend watching Charlie St. Cloud. I plan on watching it again with a few of my friends, since I was only able to go with one person on Tuesday, and I also think it deserves a good box office number. But that's just me.

If any of you see it this weekend, let me know what you think!

  1. I forgot this was coming out today! This movie looks really good.

I am stopping by for Follow Friday. I am a follower of your blog!

If you get a chance check out my blog

  2. Hi, I just awarded you The Versatile Blogger award! See my blog for more info. Cheers :)

  3. Have you read the book then? I read the book as soon as I saw the trailer because it just LOOKED like a book, ha. I liked both the book and the movie, which is surprising because I usually don't like movie adaptations.

Hopping over from the blog hop...

I love comments and read each and every one of them. They make me happy. SO GIVE MEH YOUR THOUGHTS!
