Waiting On Wednesday (30)

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine.

Touching the Surface by Kimberly Sabatini

Experience the afterlife in this lyrical, paranormal debut novel that will send your heart soaring. When Elliot finds herself dead for the third time, she knows she must have messed up, big-time. She doesn't remember how she landed in the afterlife again, but she knows this is her last chance to get things right.

Elliot just wants to move on, but first she will be forced to face her past and delve into the painful memories she'd rather keep buried. Memories of people she's hurt, people she's betrayed...and people she's killed.

As she pieces together the secrets and mistakes of her past, Elliot must find a way to earn the forgiveness of the person she's hurt most, and reveal the truth about herself to the two boys she loves...even if it means losing them both forever.

And the award for The Debut with the Prettiest Cover goes to...

Seriously though, is that not one of the best? It totally is! Now if you haven't noticed, I've been keeping my distance from paranormal romance type books this year since the few I've read have left me... well, less than impressed. But I quickly decided to make an exception to that as soon as I came across this book. I've always taken an interest in afterlife books and this one seems like a great one that will explore love, redemption, the meaning of life... you know, all that good stuff.

Touching the Surface will be released October 30, 2012 by Simon Pulse. And YAY for finally picking a book with a '12 release date! What can I say, I get ahead of myself sometimes. Anyway, I'm so excited, I've already got this one pre-ordered.

What are YOU waiting on?
