Blog Tour: Meant To Be by Lauren Morrill + Giveaway

As if you couldn't tell by my total fangirl gushing "review" (which you can totally find here), Meant To Be is one of my favorite debuts of the year. I'm thrilled to be apart of Meant To Be's blog tour so without further ado, here's my interview question with Lauren...

In Meant To Be, Jason is always chewing purple bubble gum. Do you have a signature snack?

Lauren: Up until last week, I would have said a can of Coke, but my doctor recently informed me that I need to nix it on the caffeine. Sad day! I'm going to have to work on a new signature... What would you suggest?

Hmm... What I'd consider my signature snack (that I actually wouldn't recommend to anyone at all), is Nutella. That stuff is crack. I always avoided trying it fearing I'd become addicted to it like everyone warned, but my bff had me taste it and here we are. Totally wish I would've stuck with my gut (or lack of at the time, wahh) and ran in the opposite direction.

But I'm also addicted to green tea and peppermints. No harm in those (that I know of...)!

Thanks, Lauren!

Meant To Be will be released November 13, 2012 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers.

  1. My signature snack would have to be bread. Any kind of bread, with filling or without, if I see it, I'll munch on it :)) And my favorite debut so far is Renegade by J.A. Souders <3

    1. Yes! I thought I was the only one with a bread obsession - everyone in my family thinks I'm crazy for it.

And that's good to hear! Renegade is on my TBR list.

    1. As a southern Texan, I completely get this. Only, I just can't with anything even remotely spicy, I'm such a wuss.

And I should be getting Sweet Evil in the mail soon, so I'm glad to hear it's making people's favorites lists!

    1. I should've mentioned that PB is right up there with Nutella for me. I'm seriously addicted. And that milkshake sounds amazing! I've never been to Coldstone, but judging from how this post is making me feel, I really should keep it that way.

The praise I've seen for Stormdancer is crazy. It's pretty high on my wish list, so I hope to get it soon.

  6. Salt and vinegar chips, dear god yes. And I really do love coke, specifically in cans, but I am TRYING to cut back for obvious reasons like it's terrible for you and all that stuff. I sadly have no favourite debuts, because my funds are so low that all I can do is buy sequels to books I love so that I may at least keep my sanity there. There are an insane amount of contemp debuts I want to read though, this being probably number 1.

    1. Also, I just read your review of this, and I might love you a little bit now. Or a lot. Whatever isn't creepy.

    2. Ohmagahhh yess! Salt and vinegar chips are the devil. At least for me, because I've been trying this whole clean eating thing, blahhh. I also used to be addicted to coke, but I quit drinking it last year and believe it or not, I hardly miss it anymore. (I do occasionally have a Coke Zero, though. It's the lesser evil of all the horrible tasting diet sodas out there.)

There are TONS of debuts I still have yet to read, but I'm glad you're looking forward to this one! It is seriously great.

And I love YOU (in the same non-creepy way, of course.) :)

    3. Yeah for debuts, I really want to read this one, Time Between Us, Through to You, What Happens Next... apparently all contemps. I have so many books I want to read I think I need to create a "dying to read" shelf on goodreads, because my to-read has 100+.

Alas, I just can't do artificial sweeteners.

And finally, I can't be the only one who just wants a giant poster of this cover right? I'm obsessed.

    4. What Happens Next I've been eyeing constantly!! That one, and Touching the Surface. I guess it's a good thing Christmas is coming up...

See, artificial I can do. The real thing makes me feel guilty. haha

And no, you are def. not the only one. I have the next best thing, which is a signed postcard of the cover and I love it. It's framed on my bookshelf. hah
