Top Ten Tuesday is hosted and created by Broke and the Bookish.
This week's list is compiled of titles I've read in the last 3 years that I LOOOVED and if any of you still have yet to read ANY of these, please do so right now this moment and then come back here so we may fangirl together.
1. Just One Day by Gayle Forman
I think the biggest reason for this being one my favorite books of all time is that I read it at the time I needed it most. It was a crucial read in a stressful point in my life.
2. Unteachable by Leah Raeder
I've babbled on and on about how this *NEW ADULT* book surprised me by how much I loved it, but I still have yet to write a review because it's definitely one of *those* that is so difficult to accurately describe and encompass all of your thoughts and feelings for in a few paragraphs. I've no doubt I'll write one sometime, though.
3. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
Like many of us book crazy people, Beauty and the Beast is one of my most beloved fairytales. That said, I'm ALWAYS wary of reading fairytale retellings, especially when it's a favorite retold. This however, is one exception. Cruel Beauty is a wonderful mix of fairytale and greek mythology (i'd say the mythology as actually an even bigger aspect than the Beauty and the Beast lore) and has one of the swooniest & hilarious love interests ever. I love it.
4. Winger by Andrew Smith
This book will have you laughing so hard you'll cry, then crying so hard you want to cry some more.
5. Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson
Like Just One Day, this was a read I'm so glad came along when it did. This book + JOD = me pretty much entirely.
We should alll know by now how much I love my male POVs and Travis' might just be my favorite of favorites. I actually just reread it a while ago because I missed his voice so much.
7. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
Maggie Stiefvater has become one of my favorite authors of all time within the last year or two so this along with every other title she has, is an all-time fave. I just happened to list this one because GANSEY. (dying for book 4 rn like really)
Sarah J Maas is a queen, the end.
9. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
Read if you want to sob. Also, last I heard (because I'm now a mole person?) this was going to be a movie with Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke, and I totally approve of this casting so YES PLEASE!
10. Unsticky by Sarra Manning
This is my newest addition to my favorites list and OH MY GOD I still can't stop thinking about it. I was originally scared and iffy on whether I'd find it swoony or romantic or even a book I'd enjoy at all, but obv, needless to say - LOVE!
Honorable Mentions...(because I like to cheat and could honestly list five or ten more favorites)
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
OMG ILY JAMIE
Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas (and the other books in the Travis series)
OMG ILY GAGE (AND HARDY AND JACK AND JOE)
What are YOUR favorite books since 2012? Let me know!
